Découverte des oiseaux des Étangs de Commelles

The Commelles ponds provide an ideal setting to get started (or improve) in birdwatching: open water, reedbeds, woodland edges, and clearings form a particularly lively mosaic of habitats. During this outing, the goal is simple: take the time to observe, learn to spot the clues (silhouettes, posture, flight patterns, calls), and put names to the species we encounter.

Depending on the season, we will look in particular for waterbirds (ducks, grebes, herons), passerines along the edges, and sometimes a few migratory surprises. The walk is punctuated by observation stops to understand who lives where, why, and how birds adapt to the conditions of the moment (weather, water levels, disturbance, season).

The outing is designed to be both educational and friendly: guidance on using binoculars and a spotting scope, straightforward identification methods, and practical keys to help you make lasting progress. Ideal for beginners, and also perfect for sharpening your eye and leaving with clear, concrete reference points.
