Marais de Sacy
A natural site covering over 1,000 hectares in the Oise department, southeast of Clermont. It is the largest peatland wetland in the department, composed of a mosaic of marshes, alkaline fens, ponds, alder-ash woodlands, and waterways. It harbours specialised flora (Sphagnum mosses, sedges, water lilies) and diverse fauna including the Eurasian Bittern, herons, Western Marsh Harrier, Osprey, European otter, Northern crested newts, and numerous dragonflies. Designated as a ZNIEFF, Natura 2000 site, and Ramsar site since 2017–2018.
