Immersion ornitho en Brenne

Three days in the heart of the "Land of a Thousand Ponds"

Throughout the seasons, La Brenne is home to a remarkable diversity of species: purple herons, whiskered terns, black storks, little bitterns, bluethroats, little grebes... not to mention a multitude of wading birds, ducks, and birds of prey that inhabit its ponds and hedgerows.

This three-day trip is designed to maximize observation time while maintaining a relaxed pace, alternating between early morning outings, walks along established trails, and opportunities for naturalist discussions. The itinerary covers key birdwatching spots in the Brenne Regional Natural Park, including the Mer Rouge, Foucault, Massé, and Gabrière ponds, among others, depending on current conditions.

Led by a passionate naturalist, you will receive guidance on identifying species by sight and sound, while enjoying extended observation sessions using spotting scopes and binoculars.

Suitable for all skill levels, this trip is ideal for beginner birdwatchers looking to improve their skills, as well as for experienced observers wishing to (re)discover the richness of this iconic region.

Included: 3 days of birdwatching guidance, visual and auditory identification, observation time, and naturalist reference materials.

Not included: transport, accommodation, meals, and personal expenses.

Transport: participants travel to the observation sites independently (meeting points provided after registration).

👉 What to bring: weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes; binoculars recommended (rental available).
